Our 1st, 2011 litter ends in tears.

Well things just don't seem to get any better, our beloved Angel (Elmarlay Heaven Sent) very unexpectedly delivered her litter seven days early on the 10th February, and sadly her kittens were just too weak to survive although early signs were good they were not able to suckle and sadly we lost the last one earlier today after a very hard battle. Angel is looking for her babies and it is such a shame after all she went through she has nothing to show for it. We are pondering what to do next as their was no reason for the early delivery we can think of, the mating was a repeat of her 1st two litters so confused on what went wrong.

A brave battle fought by three little angels who have all left this world to start new adventures on the other side of rainbow bridge.

  3. my very first siberian cat did the same and i fought for three days with no sleep to keep them, but no joy, their little lungs arnt developed enough...it was a baptism of fire for me, but I kept going...doesnt get any easier the longer you do this but I look at it as, as long as I have done all I can, nature is responsible for the rest and its up to her which way it goes...three sleeps and you'll come to terms....take care X

  4. Sorry to read this Wayne - very sad and heartbreaking. Fortunately Angel is well, and although missing her babies - will recover - and be there with you. Its very hard, but being born too soon - its only a very few who will survive - They are watching you all - on the other side of Rainbow Bridge xx

  6. Thankyou all it has been a rough weekend, in some ways I wish that they hadn't drawn a breath as it would of been less of an upset in some ways. Angel is getting there and hopefully next year she will have another litter and put this one behind her.
